The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has received official permission from the district administration to hold a rally at Jallo Park, Lahore on Saturday, September 21.
This approval was granted following a directive from the Lahore High Court, which ordered the district administration to make a decision on PTI’s rally request by 5pm.

The Lahore Deputy Commissioner’s office issued the permit, mentioning that the rally will take place at Jallo Park instead of the Minar-e-Pakistan venue.
The administration granted PTI to hold its public gathering between 2pm and 5pm. It’s worth noting that the PTI had initially planned to hold the rally at Minar-e-Pakistan, but due to security concerns and the court order, the location was changed to Jallo Park.
On the other hand, Advocate Khaqan Mir, a member of PTI’s legal team said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has obtained permission to hold a rally in Lahore’s Kahnna Cattle market.
He said that the administration has granted permission for the rally to take place from 2 pm to 8 pm. However, PTI has requested an extension to schedule the meeting from 11 am to 12 am (midnight).
Meanwhile, multiple containers have been placed around Minar-e-Pakistan, restricting citizen access. Greater Iqbal Park’s gates are also closed.
