
The 97th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) of China was celebrated at the General Headquarters (GHQ) on Thursday, the Pakistan Military Media Wing ISPR said in a Press Release.
Jiang Zaidong, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Pakistan, attended the event as the Chief Guest at the event, said the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The ceremony was attended by Major General Wang Zhong, Defence Attaché, officials from the Chinese Embassy, and officers from Pakistan’s Armed Forces.
Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir, welcomed the Chinese delegation, congratulating the PLA and commending its contributions to China’s defence, security, and national development.
At this ocassion Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir said that the relations between Pakistan and China are extraordinary and exemplary, citing the Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR).
Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong expressed gratitude to the army chief for hosting the event. “The Pakistani military has always been at the forefront of countering terrorism and has made great sacrifices for the peace and stability of Pakistan and the region,” remarked the ambassador.
Jiang Zaidong said that China is ready to work together to fight terrorism.
“No power can abolish Pakistan-China ideal friendship and brotherhood among forces of both countries, he said.
