Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev at the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Pakistan on a two-day official visit from 11-12 July.
On Azerbaijan President arrival, Premier Sharif along with his cabinet members, received and warmly welcome the visiting dignitary.

A 21-gun salute by Pakistan Army soldiers was presented to the dignitary.
During the visit, President Aliyev will hold meetings with Prime Minister ShehbazSharif and President Asif Ali Zardari.
The two sides will engage in wide-ranging discussions strengthen bilateral cooperation. Several agreements and MoUs are expected to be signed during the visit.
Earlier in month of May The foreign minister of Azerbaijan visited Pakistan in May and held delegation-level talks in which Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar assured that both sides were taking measures to increase bilateral investment, especially in the energy sector.
Ishaq Dar also expressed Pakistan’s full support to Azerbaijan during its presidency of climate summit COP29.
