The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government announced to form a commission in order to conduct a transparent investigation into the Bannu incident.
The Advisor on Information for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Barrister Saif said that Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur took notice of the ongoing situation in Bannu and also announced the formation of a commission for transparent investigations into the incident.

He stated that the commission would conduct transparent and impartial investigations and present a report. The report would identify the responsible parties, it would be made public, and legal action would be taken against those responsible.
The development comes a day after the civilians were killed in a firing incident during a protest rally in Bannu district against the worsening law and order. The protest was staged on the call of the trader community, where a complete shutter-down strike was observed.
